You may think math is boring. Just don’t try telling that to the middle school students trekking through the cold February morning to represent their schools at the 19th annual MathCounts Manhattan competition. Hosted by the Math Department at Columbia University with sponsorship by Trevor Day School, The NSPE New York Chapter, and Ravi Boppana, MathCounts Manhattan has brought the thrill of competition to math students since 1990. The 2010 event will take place in February.
