Volunteers

MATHCOUNTS Manhattan simply would not function without the tireless dedication of its many volunteers. Take a moment to read some of their stories below.

If you are interested in volunteering or would simply like more information, please take a moment to contact us about the MATHCOUNTS Manhattan event!

Eve Drucker Egelhof

(MATHCOUNTS Manhattan Coordinator)

As a middle school student in New Jersey in the late ‘90s, I participated in MATHCOUNTS and absolutely loved the experience. When I entered high school at the Academy for the Advancement of Science and Technology (AAST), I immediately joined the math team where I was coached by the esteemed late Joe Holbrook. I later became team captain, started volunteering with my local MATHCOUNTS chapter, and founded the Bergen County Academies Math Competition in 2003. I then attended Harvard College and graduated with a concentration in Mathematics and a secondary field in Economics. I’ve since gotten involved with MATHCOUNTS Manhattan as a volunteer, and this year I am thrilled to be serving as the chapter coordinator once again. If you have any questions about the program, the involvement of your school, or ways that you or your business can help out, please take a moment to fill out the contact form. I look forward to hearing from you!
